The holder of this badge has met the required standards, and provided evidence of the same, to comply with the Bronze Award Certification programme of Fifty Shades Greener.

This certification provides transparency on how this organisation contributes to sustainable development, and it is valid for 1 year. 

A bronze award requires for organisations to:

  • Meet all environmental legal compliance in their countries
  • Have appointed a sustainability manager and a team that meet regularly to review their progress 
  • Measure their operations impact on the environment
  • Develop an environmental policy

Silver award: demonstrable progress

The holder of this badge has met the required standards, and provided evidence of the same, to comply with the Silver Award Certification programme of Fifty Shades Greener.

This certification provides transparency on how this organisation contributes to sustainable development, and it is valid for 1 year. 

A silver award requires for organisations to (but it is not limited to):

  • Have a sustainability policy, action plan and a green team in place.
  • Have conducted quantitive audits of thier resource use & develop plans for improvement
  • Purchase 100% green electricity
  • Have a green purchasing policy in place

Gold award: outstanding achievement

The holder of this badge has met the required standards, and provided evidence of the same, to comply with the Gold Award Certification programme of Fifty Shades Greener.

This certification provides transparency on how this organisation contributes to sustainable development, and it is valid for 1 year. 

A gold award requires for organisations to (but it is not limited to):

  • Have a sustainability policy, action plan and a green team in place.
  • Have conducted quantitive audits of their resource use & develop plans for improvement with clear targets
  • Have started implementing actions to reduce resource use and have developed standards of procedure
  • Have abolished single use plastics
  • Have a nature and biodiversity enhancement plan
  • Have implemented social sustainability measures

Emerald award: pioneering excellence

The holder of this badge has met the required standards, and provided evidence of the same, to comply with the Emerald Award Certification programme of Fifty Shades Greener.

This certification provides transparency on how this organisation contributes to sustainable development, and it is valid for 1 year. 

An emerald award requires for organisations to (but it is not limited to):

  • Have a sustainability policy, action plan and a green team in place.
  • Have conducted quantitive audits of thier resource use & develop plans for improvement
  • Have implemented actions to reduce resource use and can demosntrate their data reductions
  • Have abolished single use plastics
  • Have a nature and biodiversity enhancement plan
  • Have implemented social sustainability measures
  • Provide universal access to the premises
  • At least 80% of their food purchases are organic
